Between the dawn and the night

(Image Source: here)

The long, murky night
Acts as a blotting paper
To her overflowing sadness;
Makes her thirst
For the sight of dawn.

The buoyant, beautiful dawn
Acts as a healing ointment
Filling the void in her barren heart;
Makes her ready
For fighting the battles of the day.

Between the dawn and the night
Halcyon memories and pale conjectures
Perform an exuberant somersault;
Exposes her again
To the pangs and twinges of midnight.

    1. I totally agree with you, Saru. Some days just drain all our energy and leave us vulnerable for the night.
      Glad you loved the poem :)
